Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Michelle Sanford and I have been a full time graphic designer for 16 years, mom for 13+ years and wife for 19+ years. I enjoy crochet, sewing, art and having fun with my little family as often as possible. I have learned from my experiences that time is extremely precious and it is the most valuable thing I have to offer anyone so I like to spend as much as possible experiencing new things with my family.
I have two beautiful children who are amazingly fun and smart but they are also quite a handful at times. I like to find new ways to involve them in my creative projects and we love to experience new things when we can. My husband and I love to visit state parks and spend as much time outside as possible in the warmer months and in the winter months in upstate New York we enjoy skiing when we can and building snow forts with the kids as well.

This website includes some examples of my work as well as some from other artists I am close to (including my mom). I like to embrace and encourage all creativity. I encourage my children to create as much as possible although lately it is difficult to pry them from their electronics. Arts and crafts can be a really therapeutic outlet.
Many of my crochet projects I do for friends, orders and gifts. I feel that a handmade gift is worth much more than anything I could buy at the store. I have found it difficult to balance my time between my full time career, my family and household duties as well as my crafting and artistic endeavors. I try to find cute new projects to help me get my children involved with some of the responsibilities at home as well as teach them the joy in being creative rather than spending every free second "plugged in" to some electrical device.
My blog is an online journal that includes some of the projects and art pieces I am working on as well as any exciting experiences I have had that I think someone else may find of interest. Some entries include links to any pattern that I may have used in the project; while others actually contain a free pattern for the project. I like to include as many free patterns as possible. I haven't got an unlimited budget to spend on such things so I know that most moms aren't going to be able to do so either, so if I can help a fellow mom & creator to be able to create something with minimal cost, I'm glad to do that. I do ask that if you post or sell something, using one of my exclusive patterns, that you link back to the page you found it on.
You can find some of the items on my website available for sale on my Etsy store, or follow us on Facebook, just click on one of the links below.
